1. Agreement

What these Terms cover

By accessing or using CADCrawl, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to the accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

CADCrawl is a software product that may be offered through recurring subscriptions, one-time lifetime purchases, or other pricing formats we choose to make available. It combines a website, account dashboard, desktop application, and related processing features to help users find and reopen older CAD files faster.

If you use CADCrawl for an organization

If you access or use CADCrawl on behalf of a company, studio, or other entity, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" includes both you and that entity.

2. Eligibility

Who may use CADCrawl

You may use CADCrawl only if you are able to enter a binding legal agreement and, if applicable, are authorized to act for the organization using the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of CADCrawl complies with applicable law, professional obligations, confidentiality restrictions, export controls, and any contractual limits that apply to the files or information you process.

3. Accounts

Accounts, authentication, and desktop access

Account accuracy and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you believe your account or device session has been compromised.

Desktop session linking

Some parts of the service may require separate device or desktop authorization. You are responsible for actions taken through your account and authorized devices.

We may require reauthentication, rotate or revoke sessions, limit devices, or block access where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or product integrity.

4. Billing

Subscriptions, payment processing, and cancellation

CADCrawl may be offered through recurring subscriptions, one-time purchases such as lifetime access plans, or other billing formats we choose to offer. Checkout, payment processing, taxes, invoices, renewals, and related billing functions may be handled by us or by third-party payment and billing providers acting on our behalf.

  • Subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled.
  • You authorize charges for the selected subscription plan and any applicable taxes or fees.
  • You may cancel renewal through the billing workflow or portal we make available.
  • Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • We may suspend or limit access for failed payments, chargebacks, fraud signals, or other billing-related risk.
  • A "lifetime" purchase means access for the life of the service offering, not for your lifetime or any guaranteed minimum service period.
  • If we decide to discontinue, sunset, sell, or stop operating CADCrawl or a related paid offering, we may end access for lifetime users at that time and, unless required by law, we will not owe any ongoing service, support, hosting, feature delivery, refund, or other continuing obligation after the service is shut down.

Third-party billing terms

Your payment flow may also be subject to the terms, privacy notice, and billing rules of the third-party provider used for that transaction.

5. License

License grant and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, CADCrawl grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the service for your internal business or personal professional use.

You may not, and may not permit others to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where law clearly permits it;
  • copy, resell, sublicense, lease, or provide CADCrawl as a service bureau or competing service;
  • circumvent authentication, payment gates, access controls, or technical restrictions;
  • probe, scan, attack, or overload the service or related infrastructure;
  • use the service for unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activity; or
  • process content you do not have the right to use, disclose, upload, or transmit.

6. Content and AI

Your content, your permissions, and AI-powered features

You retain ownership of your files, prompts, search inputs, and other content you process through CADCrawl. You grant CADCrawl a limited license to host, store, reproduce, transform, transmit, display, and otherwise process that content as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

That license includes creating indices, summaries, previews, embeddings, metadata, search history records, and other derived data needed for retrieval, ranking, support, telemetry, abuse prevention, and subscription enforcement.

Cloud AI processing

Some features may transmit search queries and file-derived content to third-party AI or cloud processing services. You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, notices, and permissions needed for that processing.

AI outputs, rankings, explanations, summaries, and file matches can be probabilistic, incomplete, stale, or wrong. You must independently review results before relying on them, opening sensitive files, or making engineering, legal, operational, or business decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

CADCrawl IP and feedback

CADCrawl, including its software, design, branding, interfaces, workflows, models, documentation, and related intellectual property, is owned by CADCrawl or its licensors and is protected by applicable law.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, bug reports, workflow ideas, or feature requests, you grant CADCrawl a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

8. Termination

Suspension, termination, and survival

You may stop using CADCrawl at any time. We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we reasonably believe that you breached these Terms, failed to pay, created security or legal risk, abused the service, exceeded allowed usage, or if continued access is no longer commercially or legally practical.

We may also discontinue CADCrawl, any plan tier, any lifetime offering, or any product feature at any time in our discretion. If we do, your right to use the affected offering ends when the service or offering is discontinued, subject only to any non-waivable rights that apply under law.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those concerning payment obligations, intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution, and any accrued rights or remedies.

9. Risk Allocation

Disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity

Disclaimers

CADCrawl is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, perfect retrieval, error-free indexing, exact preview fidelity, or that the service will find every file you want to recover.

Liability cap

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CADCrawl's total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to CADCrawl for the service during the 12 months before the claim arose or US$100.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CADCrawl will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, business interruption, data loss, or procurement of substitute services.

Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CADCrawl from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights or applicable law.

10. Disputes

Disputes, changes, and contact

If you have a dispute or concern, contact us first at [email protected] and try to resolve it informally before filing a claim.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction unless applicable law requires a different forum or procedure. You and CADCrawl each agree to act in good faith to narrow issues and avoid unnecessary cost.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of CADCrawl after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
